Physician-Led Medical Weight Loss & GLP-1 Therapy in Westlake Village

Looking for GLP-1 medications such as semaglutide (Ozempic®/Wegovy®) or tirzepatide (Mounjaro®/Zepbound®)? At Sante Health, our physician-led medical weight loss program combines comprehensive metabolic evaluation, advanced laboratory testing, body composition analysis, nutrition, lifestyle medicine, hormone optimization, and evidence-based GLP-1 therapy to help you achieve safe, sustainable, long-term results through The Sante Method.

What's Different About This Program

At Sante Health, weight loss begins with understanding why weight gain occurred in the first place. We evaluate metabolism, insulin resistance, hormones, nutrition, body composition, sleep, stress, medications, and lifestyle before developing a personalized treatment plan. While GLP-1 medications may be an important part of treatment, they are only one component of a comprehensive metabolic health program designed for lasting success.

The compounding-pharmacy and telehealth-mill version of GLP-1 weight loss is a 7-minute video call, a generic dosing schedule, and a refill button. It works for some people, briefly. It fails the patients whose underlying biology is doing more than one thing at once: insulin resistance, hormone shifts, sleep disruption, inflammation, the specific texture of midlife metabolic change. Those patients need actual medicine, not a script and a goodbye.

Sante Health's program is built for that second group. Comprehensive metabolic and hormonal labs before the prescription. Conservative dosing that prioritizes side-effect management and durable results over rapid early weight loss. The same board-certified Nurse Practitioner every visit. Ongoing monitoring that catches the patterns that matter.

Who This Program Is For

You're likely a candidate for the program if you recognize a few of these:

A consultation is the right first step. We'll review your history, screen for candidacy, and tell you honestly whether this is the right tool for your situation.

Likely a candidate:

Your weight has been climbing despite eating and moving roughly the same as you always have

The methods that worked in your 30s stopped working in your 40s, 50s, or 60s

You've been told your labs are "normal" but you suspect insulin resistance or another metabolic shift

You have a BMI of 30 or higher, or 27+ with related metabolic concerns (insulin resistance, hypertension, sleep apnea, prediabetes)

You're a high-functioning adult who wants medical oversight, not a discount-coupon prescription mill

You want to address the underlying metabolic context, not just suppress appetite for a year

Common Questions

What's the difference between semaglutide and tirzepatide?

Both are GLP-1 receptor agonists with strong evidence for medical weight loss. Tirzepatide also acts on a second pathway (GIP), which produces stronger average weight loss in clinical trials but a different side-effect profile. The right choice depends on your labs, history, and tolerance, not a default. We discuss the tradeoffs during your lab review and choose together.

We don't give weight-loss guarantees. Clinical trial data shows average loss in the 15–22% range over a year for tirzepatide and 12–15% for semaglutide, but individual results depend on starting metabolic context, dose tolerance, and lifestyle integration. Patients who do best in this program are the ones who pair the medication with the lab-driven plan rather than treating it as a standalone solution.

Nausea, GI changes, and reduced appetite are the most common, especially during dose changes. Conservative titration, which we use throughout, dramatically reduces side-effect severity for most patients. We coach you through what's expected versus what warrants a call, and we adjust dosing in real time when needed.

No. The program runs primarily through telehealth across California. Patients across the state, from San Diego to the Bay Area to the Central Valley, run their program from home. Lab work happens at any commercial lab near you, and the medication ships directly.

The active phase is typically three to six months for initial weight loss, followed by a maintenance phase that varies by patient. Some patients taper off medication after reaching their goal; others continue at a maintenance dose. The decision is clinical, not pre-set, and we plan it explicitly with you rather than leaving the timeline open-ended.

Plateaus are clinical information. We re-check labs, evaluate the underlying metabolic pattern, and adjust either the dose, the surrounding plan, or both. This is exactly the kind of moment that distinguishes a real medical program from a refill button.

No. The medication is a tool, not a life sentence. Many patients complete the program, transition to maintenance, and ultimately taper off. Some continue at a maintenance dose long-term because their physiology benefits from it; that's a decision we make together based on data, not on auto-renewal.
